AfricansAsk exists to give Africans — on the continent and across the diaspora — a single, structured home for the questions we ask, the knowledge we share, and the culture we carry with us wherever we go. Not a generic global forum with an African skin, and not a copy of an existing platform. Something built from the ground up around how our communities actually talk, argue, celebrate, and support one another.
Every day, millions of Africans ask questions that deserve better than being scattered across WhatsApp groups, Twitter threads, and Facebook comment sections — questions about visas, remittances, faith, relationships, business, and identity. AfricansAsk is where those questions get a permanent, searchable, well-organized home, answered by people who've actually lived the answer.
Search "African Q&A platform" and you'll find two kinds of results: large, general-purpose forums with no cultural anchor, or local forums with real community energy but no structured way to surface the best answer to a real question. Neither fully serves what we needed.
A question about visa timelines for the diaspora, a debate about ECOWAS monetary policy, a request for someone to interpret a recurring dream, a thread comparing Ankara and Kente cloth — these all deserve a home that treats them as first-class content, not an afterthought bolted onto a platform built for someone else's audience.
We also noticed something simple: the best answers to African questions usually come from other Africans — someone who has actually navigated the UK spouse visa process, actually started a business in Lagos, actually grown up between two cultures. That lived experience is the real product here, and it deserves a platform designed specifically to capture and rank it.

Not at all. We're intentionally Pan-African. Our earliest content skews Nigerian simply because that's where we started — we're actively working to grow representation from every region.
Those platforms have real community energy, but posts are largely chronological — the best answer can get buried under whatever was posted most recently. AfricansAsk ranks answers by usefulness, so the best response stays visible no matter when it was written.
